Fix Error: Pangu Timeout “It Seems That The Device Did Not Reboot, Please Reboot Manually”

iPhone 5S

For those who have tried to jailbreak their iDevice on iOS 7.1.x using the new Chinese Pangu tool, you’ll realise that your device needs to go through several boot loops. At least twice through the procedure, Pangu has to wait for your device to shut itself down and reboot.

Several users have reported an issue where the jailbreak tool reports a timeout error whilst waiting for their device to reboot. The solution is simple – infact, it’s only one step!

How to fix timeout error when jailbreaking with Pangu

This solution will work with anyone who is experiencing timeout errors whilst jailbreaking. This error may not strictly be limited to the Pangu jailbreaking tool.

Step 1: Before attempting to jailbreak your device, head over to Settings and then toggle Airplane Mode to on.

That’s it! Now, when Pangu waits for your device to reboot it can skip the (sometimes) lengthy task of waiting for data, wifi and cellular initialization. This can sometimes drastically reduce bootup time and ensure you avoid the timeout issue.

If you continue to have problems, feel free to tweet us or get in touch with the Pangu team!
