Unfold For iPhone Brings Fold-to-Unlock to Reality!

Only last week Dribble member Anton Kudin dreamt up a fold to unlock concept for the iPhone. And already, the jailbreak community has sprung to life and released a beautiful fold-to-unlock concept to life!

After some public interaction through Twitter, Jonas Gessner released a Cydia package called ‘Unfold’. But what does it actually do? Basically, it is a package that integrates into the lock screen of a jailbroken device and changes the animations when the device is unlocked by the user. Normally, sliding your finger across the lock path simply unlocks the device, but Unlock brings a new look which folds up the lock screen as you swipe your finger – revealing the springboard behind it!

In addtion, the Unfold tweak is also fully compatible with other popular jailbreak packages that are designed to alter your homescreen – including IntelliScreenX, LockInfo, Camera Grabber, Bulletin and a few others. This is great because you no longer have to sacrifice one tweak for another.

Unfold is available from the BigBoss repository as a free download. It requires iOS 5 or above but is not currently compatible with the iPad.

To download the tweak, launch Cydia and search for ‘Unfold’. The BigBoss repository source is usually pre-installed into Cydia so you won’t need to add any sources.
