Users were encouraged to stay away from jailbreaking for a while as Cydia was updated, but in the last hour or so Saurik tweeted:

which confirmed the update of Cydia to make it compatible with iOS 7 devices. Users can now go ahead and jailbreak their iOS 7 device and install the latest version of Cydia.

It is unclear whethere the Evasi0n7 tool has been updated to automatically bundle the latest version of Cydia – but for those who have already jailbroken before the update of Cydia, you can update to version 1.1.9 by following the steps outlined below:

How to download and install Cydia v1.1.9

Step 1: Upon launching Cydia, head over to the Changes tab.

Step 2: You should see an available update for Cydia Installer. According to the release log, it is compatible with all versions of iOS 2 and above so even those on a 6.1.5 jailbreak should be able to update.

Step 3: Touch on to the update for Cydia Installer which should look something like below. Hit the Modify button in the top right corner and then Upgrade.
