Opera To Be Microsoft Nokia X Default Browser

Opera have announced that they have signed a deal with Microsoft to be the default browser on all Nokia X series smartphones. The news comes just after Microsoft have detailed they will be releasing an Android-powered Nokia X2 handset.

As part of the deal, Opera will be the default web browser on the latest Nokia X2 smartphone which is yet to be launched in the UK. The Nokia X2 runs a customized version of Android that looks like Windows OS.

Opera has quickly become a very popular browser amongst mobile users due to it’s unique features. The browser offers Opera Turbo which decreases page-loading time and compresses data to reduce data costs.

Launched in January, the Opera browser is available for all Nokia X devices for free from the Nokia Store.
