How To Jailbreak iOS 7.1.2 (All Devices) With Pangu (Untethered)

As the name might have given away, a team of Chinese developers have released a jailbreak for iOS 7.1.1 which also works for the recently updated iOS 7.1.2. The software and method have been named Pangu and it is claimed to jailbreak iOS 7.1.x. The developers have announced that it can be used to jailbreak all iPad, iPad Air, iPad Mini, iPhone and iPod Touch models.

How to jailbreak iOS 7.1.2 using Pangu

Before you get started, you’ll need to download to download the Pangu software from here. (All download links have been collected together at the end of this post). You should also restore to a fresh version of iOS 7.1.2 before jailbreaking; you can download the IPSW file from here.

Step 1: Run the tool by either mounting the DMG on Mac or opening the EXE file on Windows.

Step 2: Connect your iDevice via USB to your computer. We encountered bugs if we had more than one iDevice connected so it is recommended you have only one device connected whilst following these steps.

Step 3: Wait for your device to be recognized, then hit the Jailbreak button.

Step 4: Now you’ll need to roll back the date of your device so the tool can run the exploit. Just change your device’s date to June 2nd from Settings.

Step 5: When the progress bar reaches half way, head over to your device and locate the new Pangu app. Touch to launch in and then select Allow. If the text is not English – just simply touch the button on the left.

Step 6: Now the process will complete automatically and your device will reboot. When it restarts Cydia will be on the springboard.
