Apple OS X Yosemite Public Beta Now Live – Download Now!

Apple OS X Yosemite Beta

At WWDC14 Apple announced that prior to full release, a public beta of the latest version of it’s desktop OS will be available for everyone to download. This is different to previous years as only developers who paid £99 a year had access to beta releases of Apple software and operating systems.

Yosemite brings a touch of iOS to the Mac. From a complete overhaul on design and styling as well as better, more efficient battery management on the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro.

The programme is open to everyone and only requires you to register or sign-up with your Apple ID. You’ll be given a redemption code which will allow you to download and install Yosemite beta. This of course isn’t the very first beta (that was available to devs only!) so many bugs have already been fixed; however Apple still encourage you to backup your machine and install Yosemite to a secondary machine to avoid any issues.

You also should take in to account that some inter-device features require iOS 8 which isn’t part of the public beta.
