How to jailbreak iOS 8.4 on all devices using TaiG

Please note that this is an untethered jailbreak and works for all devices compatible with iOS 8.4. Please remember to backup your device via iTunes or iCloud before jailbreaking to avoid any loss of data.

You are also recommended to do a full restore of your device via iTunes before jailbreaking.

Step 1: Download the latest version of TaiG jailbreak using the links at the end of this post, or from our resource page. You may need to unzip the download and place the contents on your Desktop for easy access.

Step 2: Connect your device using the USB cable and be sure to disable the passcode and Find My iPhone.

To disable the passcode, go to Settings Security Touch ID & Passcode.

To disable Find My iPhone, go to Settings iCloud Find My iPhone.

Step 3: Launch the TaiG application with administrator privileges to begin the process to jailbreak iOS 8.4. This can be done by Right Click Run as Administrator.

Step 4: TaiG will take some time to detect your device. Once you confirm that is it showing the correct firmware version, deselect the 3K Assistant 2.3.0 (TaiG’s App Store – you can keep it selected if you want!).

Step 5: Click on the green start button to proceed.

Step 6: TaiG will now automatically complete the process. It can take up to 45 minutes so be patient. Once the process is completed, you’ll get a confirmation message on your computer screen and your iOS device will reboot.

Note: If the process gets stuck at 30% – please wait up to 35 minutes before cancelling the process. This issue is likely to occur when using Windows virtualisation software.
